GlitterBall Classic at Trim, Ireland2018-06-22
DSGB couple, Jakub and Shannon, travelled to Trim in Ireland to compete at the GlitterBall Classic competition on 19th May. The adult couple have been dancing and competing for a number of years in both Standard and Latin American categories.
Shannon said: “The competition at Trim has such a friendly and fun vibe, with the hosts being as accommodating as possible to ensure we felt welcome and to make it easy for us to get to and from the location.
“The other couples were supportive, even though we were not on home ground, and their cheering for one another made for a great atmosphere. We eased into things with each round, and with growing enthusiasm. As we’d attended the previous year we generally felt not too anxious and were just there to get the job done, which we did.”
